Finding your way

Six systems sit behind one switcher. This chapter shows where each screen is, what its numbers mean, and who may change what.

Switch between the systems

The switcher at the top of the sidebar opens the Shop, the ERP, the WMS, the Floor, the Handheld, and this Documentation. The sidebar below it always belongs to the system you are in.

Guests find Log in and Sign up at the top of the page. The WMS, the ERP, and the Floor each offer a short guided tour at the foot of the sidebar.

The WMS sidebar

The Dashboard compares the Warehouse today with the same time yesterday: orders in, lines picked, orders shipped, and rack places used. Needs attention lists what should be looked at first, such as picks in clarification, overdue deliveries, and packages waiting for the carrier. Further down, charts show the flow of the last weeks, the orders by status, rack occupancy, work per hour, and how many orders shipped on time.

Below the Dashboard, Clarifications collects the shortfalls the control room still has to sort out, and Staff shows the crew. The groups after that follow the goods through the Warehouse.

A number next to a menu item counts the work waiting there, for example released orders under Picking or open tasks under Putaway. A red number under Clarifications means a picker has found less than expected. The numbers refresh every 30 seconds.

  1. Inbound: Receiving for announced deliveries, Putaway for pallets waiting at a gate.
  2. Outbound: Picking, Packing, and Shipping, in the order an order passes them.
  3. Inventory: Stock with every pallet, Stock movements with every booking, and Replenishment for pallets that need to come down.
  4. Orders: the customer orders and purchase orders the ERP has sent.
  5. Master data: articles, Warehouses, locations, trolleys, and shipping cartons.
  6. Integration: every message between the ERP and the WMS, incoming and outgoing.

The ERP sidebar

The ERP has three groups. Master data holds articles and customers. Purchasing holds suppliers and purchase orders. Sales holds the customer orders and the emails sent to customers.

The Handheld has no sidebar. Its home screen shows one tile per job, each with the work waiting, or the task you already hold.

Who may do what

Without an account, you can look at almost everything: the Shop shelves, every list and detail page in the ERP and WMS, the Floor, and this Documentation. Buttons that change something are greyed out and say Sign in to make changes.

With an account, you can also order in the Shop and work on the Handheld: receive, put away, replenish, pick, pack, and ship. Master data and stock corrections in the ERP and WMS stay with the administrator; those buttons say Admin only.

Other people’s personal details stay hidden. Real Shop customers appear to others as Shop customer, and real people on the Handheld appear as Warehouse helper. The made-up demo customers and the crew are visible to everyone.
