Picking & replenishment
Take a released order, bring its reserved pallets within reach, and confirm the right pieces into the right trolley.
Take the next pick list
Picking on the handheld assigns the next unclaimed list with at least one ready pick. Earlier delivery dates come first, then orders that have been released longest. If you already hold an unfinished list, opening Picking returns you to it.
A list can contain both ready picks and picks waiting for replenishment. You do not choose a replacement pallet on the floor: the reservation specifies which pallet should supply each task.
Bring reserve pallets down
When an open pick needs a pallet above the picking level, the planner creates a replenishment task. It prefers a free picking location directly below that pallet, then a nearby bay in the same aisle, then the first suitable place in rack order.
The forklift driver claims a task and scans the pallet SSCC and the assigned destination. Replenishment moves the pallet; it does not add stock. Once the pallet stands on a picking location, its waiting picks can become ready. A task without a destination needs free, unblocked picking capacity.
Confirm a pick with four checks
The handheld checks the location, product, quantity, and trolley. Scan the product’s EAN where one exists; otherwise use its article number. Confirm exactly the quantity requested by the task. A trolley must be unblocked and may carry only one unfinished order.
Confirmation removes pieces from the pallet and books them onto the order and the trolley. An emptied pallet is dissolved and frees its rack location. When all required picks are complete, the order becomes Picked and is ready for packing.
- Scan the picking location shown on the task.
- Scan the requested product and count the requested pieces.
- Scan an empty trolley or the trolley already carrying this order.
- Confirm the pick and follow the next task on the list.
Bring the picked order to packing
After the last pick, park each trolley carrying the order. The handheld suggests a free, unblocked packing station in the Warehouse where the trolley was picked, favouring a station near the order’s other trolleys. Scan the suggested station code or another valid free station.
If no station is free, leave the trolley in the buffer. The buffer option is only accepted when no suitable station is available. When packing finishes an order, its empty trolleys are released and the longest-waiting buffer trolley in the same Warehouse moves up to the freed station automatically. Warehouses without packing stations skip parking.
Report a shortfall without guessing
If the pallet has fewer pieces than the task requires, report the actual count on the pallet. Reporting creates a clarification and pauses that pick; it does not immediately change stock or book a partial pick. Continue with other ready work.
The control room first corrects the pallet quantity and rechecks coverage of the open picks on it. Missing quantities can be reserved on other pallets of the same article, using FEFO, or cancelled by shortening the line. Substitution here means another pallet of the same article, not a different product.
